This newer subdivision of Ottawa was developed in 1985 and now boasts a population of over 4000 people.  Most of this neighbourhood was built by Minto, which is one of Ottawa's largest home developers. Housing options abound in this area, as Centrepointe now features everything from  low rise apartments to terrace homes to large upscale homes.  This neighbourhood is extremely sought after because of its proximity to the Baseline Bus Station, College Square Shops, and Algonquin College. Centrepointe is located midway between the growing neighbourhood of  Barrhaven and Ottawa's major highway, the Queensway.  With its long list of amenities and conveniences, many people choose to spend a little more to gain access to this neighbourhood.
